Escrow Assistant

Texas Excel Title is seeking an experienced Escrow Assistant. We are interviewing friendly, service minded individuals interested in growing their career in the Title Industry. The Escrow Assistant is responsible for:

  • Ability to perform all tasks of the Escrow Assistant
  • Prepare and send opening letters and “thank you” acknowledgments to all parties
  • Order title commitments and distribute to all parties
  • Order and update payoff/assumption statements as requested
  • Prepare receipts for all funds received from Customers and/or lenders
  • Order wire transfers and provide wiring instruction
  • Prepare loan packages for return to lender
  • Assist Closer/Escrow Officer with final policy disbursement, as directed
  • Cancel files according to office procedure
  • Customer Service - Take calls from lenders, buyers, attorneys, realtors, insurance companies and others are handled on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of escrow experience or real estate experience
  • Strong, demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and work proficiently in a fast-paced environment

Residential Escrow Officer

Texas Excel Title is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer. TET is locally owned, privately held, and dedicated to people and businesses in the communities we serve. We foster an environment that emulates our values, and our motto: Live, Love, Learn.

The Escrow Officer Is Responsible For:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the principles of title and escrow process and procedures.
  • Escrow Officer in closing transactions.
  • Preparing CD’s/HUD’s, prepping and completing all necessary paperwork/closing documents necessary for the transaction.
  • Final review of all closing packages and the transaction.
  • Work closely with clients, lenders and vendors to obtain clear title and approval to close transactions in a timely and error-free manner.
  • Collaborate with title department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, abstracts of judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, list pendants, etcetera.
  • Ensure all payoffs, taxes, surveys and HOA’s are updated and collected.
  • Address all inquiries from clients, sellers, buyers, agents in a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
